Salus was born of a yearning to bring the powerful transformational experience of the spa into the home, affordable luxury, and sensuality into the places where we live.
Our founder Jason Cook was working in the health and wellness industry where he had been for the previous two decades when, in 2010, it struck him the void of beautiful, practical, powerful yet natural health and wellness products there were on the market. “Natural” was sadly and unfortunately considered old school and Jason felt the health and wellness sector had turned its back on the pure essences, oils and extracts derived from the natural world. Jason‘s vision was to develop a range of beautiful quality natural products that would be available through lifestyle stores and online for every person who wanted to replicate the spa experience at home.
“I am passionate about the beauty industry manufacturing products within Australia for both the good of our environment and our people,” says Jason. “I am not tempted by the cheaper pricing offered by offshore manufacturers and will always embrace Australian-made and owned.”
The brand quickly grew from 2 to 150 stores in its first year and today reaches over 500 lifestyle and wellness stores across Australia and New Zealand.
Salus: Pure. Natural. Beautiful.
Salus was the ancient goddess of health and prosperity.

Community and Environmental Support
We understand we are only one part of a much larger community and that we have a responsibility to give back to that community.
Since 2017, we have been a proud corporate sponsor of the Malthouse Theatre, Southbank. We wanted to support an arts organisation that commissioned emerging and established theatre-makers that includes Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders, to tell Australian stories from new perspectives.
We also believe that change for a better world starts close to where one lives. Which is why we also sponsor the Heart Gardening Project. This is a community initiative in the local area where we manufacture, bringing biodiversity into our cities through street gardening.
